Abstract

|
|
A 56-year-old man presented with sudden diplopia for 2 days. Brain magnetic resonance imaging showed an acute mesodiencephalic infarction involving left rostral interstitial nucleus of the medial longitudinal fasciculus (riMLF) and interstitial nucleus of Cajal (INC), but sparing the posterior commissure (PC). Unilateral lesion of the riMLF and INC sparing the PC may cause complete bidirectional vertical gaze palsy. (Korean Journal of Stroke 2007;9:69-71)
